Here's an important year-end reminder! Every man, woman and child should have an annual “skin wellness” check-up for dangerous and deadly moles. While most of you have probably met your insurance deductible for the year, this is a great time to visit your Dermatologist. It could save your life.
Q. What can be done for my wrinkled hands?
A. There are a few treatments to improve the appearance of aging hands. Peels, IPL (Intense Pulse Light) therapy and some injectable dermal fillers. I suggest you obtain a couple of opinions to see which solutions best fit your schedule and your budget. Many times we use a combination of treatments. In the meantime, protect those hands like you do your face and neck with sunscreen.
Q. I get ingrown hairs at my bikini line. What will stop this?
A. This is a very common problem. I suggest you exfoliate that area every day in the shower with a minimally damp wash cloth. Almost no water in it and no soap. Just scrub the area, fairly aggressively, to keep new skin cells from growing over the hair follicle and removing any dead skin cells in the area. In the future, consider a more permanent solution like laser or IPL hair removal.
